Red Cedar Lakehouse

We finally found a place!!  We are so excited to finally unpack our stuff and not live out of a suitcase anymore.  A fellow golfer of Rice Lake (you can always find nice people at the driving range, right?) Is renting it out during our stay here.  It has everything we need and more!

Golf anyone?

It was totally worth it to haul our clubs up to Wisconsin! Can't wait to play nine holes!

First day of work!

The building is two years old and us basically a one-stop-shop for people to come to get dental care, eye care, pharmacy, family docs, and outpatient surgery.  The rehab gym is brand new with all the equipment we need as well as a desk for each of us.  I don't think Matt or I have ever had a desk before. :)
All our notes are on laptops so there is definitely going to be a learning curve until we are up to speed on that.
Learning a new system and routine is always hard so Matt and I are taking it one day at a time with the Lord's help!

Drag's Italian restaurant

We picked up a pizza for Monday night football and had a beer while we waited.  We felt like we were in a movie with Judy, the large boned, cheese eating, thick accented, bartender trying to find us a place to live and Roger Rivard, who is running for 75th Assembly, offering for us to live in their upstairs room.....how random!?!
But we did figure out what to do with those little nooks in your house.  Time to go watch some football!

Rice Lake here we come!

We spent the night in Des Moines,  Iowa and then on to Wisconsin.  We pulled up to our "cabin" we had reserved and it ended up being a tiny trailer right next to a two lane highway.  So we changed gears and started looking for other places and ended up at courier's lakeview lodge right at the edge of the lake.  This is the view right outside our back door!  This is just a temporary homebase until we find something more long term.  Please be praying for us as we are learning to live with just our daily bread.
We miss everyone a lot!

Omaha, Nebraska

We finally made it to Omaha, Nebraska after driving all day and stopped at the hospital Matt was barely born at (you will have to ask him the story about that later) and the house where Matt spent his first 14 months.  Unfortunately he doesn't remember anything, but he did say that he broke his collar bone crawling out of his crib!
We haven't seen the sun all day and it hasn't gotten above 54 degrees all day.  So no more shorts and Chaco's for a while!  Off to some steakhouse to try a famous Omaha steak!
